Being part of the Ryan's Well family means making a conscious effort to help combat the global water and sanitation crisis - whether it's by supporting our Build program or becoming empowered to take action and effect change in the world.
It is thanks to the compounded efforts of this growing family that we have been able to continue our efforts to Build and Empower. When we were approached by long-time Ryan's Well supporter, Wayne VanderWees, to look at ways our donors could take a more hands-on leadership approach to supporting our programs - the Ryan's Well Foundation Giving Circle was developed.
"I want to help change the whole idea of charity just being something you donate money to, into being considered an investment in the future of the world."
As the Giving Circle's charter member, Wayne will help create a network of like-minded individuals who - with their combined gifts - will be able to have a significant impact on a unique project(s) they select.
"Ever since I was young, I remember reading in the bible about people stopping at wells that had been there for generations. Even then I realized that if I wanted to leave a legacy that would last long after I had passed on, this would be a great way to do it. The Giving Circle allows me to have a say and see from start to finish the wells and sanitation systems that are built with the dollars I donate (invest)."
