World Toilet Day - November 19, 2012
November 19th is World Toilet Day. A day to celebrate the importance of sanitation and raise awareness for the 2.5 billion people (nearly half of the world's population) who don't have access to toilets and proper sanitation.
In addition to the many health benefits, access to improved sanitation facilities provides privacy and dignity to women and girls.
How can you mark World Toilet Day?

- Choose to support one of our current Projects Needing help or allow us to direct the funds where they’re needed most.
- Start your own fundraising initiative! Organize a bake sale, movie-night, dance, run or other event to help raise funds. Our fundraising resources can help you get started.
