Spotlight on - Tecia White
In 2009, Tecia started Whitewater Hydrogeology Ltd. As a geologist/ hydrogeologist, she strives everyday to ensure that development impacts are minimized and has made a commitment to incorporating her philanthropic efforts into her daily life.
"Whitewater Hydrogeology made the commitment to Ryan's Well from the day the company was founded. This commitment is to donate one dollar for each billable hour we work. In addition, we have started to explore other fundraising efforts, such as a recent mountain bike race, which the riders donated their entry fee to the Foundation."
Tecia recommends making short-term, reachable goals to increase her chances of success.
"Each year I set the short term goals on the growth and direction of Whitewater. As my company grows, the contributions to Ryan's Well increase as a result of the donation platform Whitewater has committed to."
Her advice to anyone looking to get involved is to incorporate fundraising into the day-to-day!
"Many people struggle with finding time and the energy to get involved. I found the best way to get involved is to incorporate my fundraising efforts into my day-to-day life. Keep the concept simple so you aren't overwhelmed by the commitment."
