Youth in Action

Youth in ActionThe Youth in Action Program is a creative and innovative program designed to educate students about the importance of clean water for all and encourage them to become active, responsible citizens of the world. These resources bring attention to local, national and international issues related to water, sanitation and activism.

Why teach the YOUTH IN ACTION program in your classroom?
Clean and safe water and its availability is a major global issue that impacts each of us.  The facts are startling! Almost 1 billion people - across the globe lack access to safe water and over 2.5 billion don't have access to adequate sanitation. It’s important that everyone understand the impacts of water and sanitation issues.

Let your students’ voices be heard!
The key theme of Youth in Action is to encourage students to find where their puzzle piece fits in this world and to take action. Students will be exposed to Canadian examples of youth and organizations making a difference. They will be encouraged to realize their global responsibilities in their own communities and abroad.
