For many kids, we're coming up on one of the most exciting holidays of the year - Hallowe'en!
Combine the excitement of choosing a costume with the decadence of trick-or-treating and it's no wonder!
Try our 5 easy ways to have a spook-tactular Hallowe'en and make a difference!
- Creative Costuming
Put your costume to good use by choosing something that's unique & sparks a conversation. We passed around a few of our own ideas - consider dressing as 'soap & water' ... or my personal favourite - a roll of toilet paper!
- Haunted Hosting
Host a Hallowe'en party or haunted house in exchange for donations. Consider selling Hallowe'en-themed goodies, play frightful music or offer prizes for the most creative - or scary! - costumes.
- Candy Counting
With so much candy available - make snack time a little more playful by organizing a candy-counting contest. A perfect game for the office, coworkers can submit guesses in exchange for donations. The person with the closest guess wins the loot!
- Fright Night
Are scary movies your guilty pleasure? Host a scary-movie marathon! Consider selling themed goodies - and maybe hand out night-lights as party favors...
- Pumpkin Carving
Organize a pumpkin-carving contest with friends, coworkers or at your school! Consider rallying local celebrities as guest-carvers and have prizes for the winning entries. Don't forget to roast all those delicious pumpkin seeds, too!
